DJI mini 5 pro

The DJI Mini 5 Pro is a compact, lightweight camera drone designed for creators, travelers, photographers, and videographers who want advanced aerial imaging without carrying a large drone. DJI describes it as an all-in-one mini camera drone featuring a 1-inch CMOS camera, combining a portable form factor with high-end imaging capabilities.

At the heart of the Mini 5 Pro is a 50MP 1-inch CMOS sensor with an f/1.8 aperture, designed to capture detailed images and produce cleaner results in low-light conditions. The drone supports 4K/60fps HDR video and 4K/120fps slow-motion recording, giving creators flexibility when producing cinematic footage, travel videos, and social-media content.

Its camera system also features 225° gimbal rotation, allowing the camera to move through a wide range of angles and making dynamic perspectives and vertical content easier to capture. DJI includes creative flight features such as QuickShot Rotate, Timelapse, Spotlight, and Waypoint, while ActiveTrack 360° provides upgraded subject-tracking capabilities for moving subjects.

Safety is another major feature. The Mini 5 Pro incorporates Nightscape Omnidirectional Obstacle Sensing, using a forward-facing LiDAR system alongside multiple vision sensors to help detect obstacles in different directions, including during nighttime operation. DJI also introduces its next-generation Smart Return to Home system, which can memorize flight routes under suitable lighting conditions.

Despite its capabilities, the Mini 5 Pro maintains a 249 g weight and a foldable, palm-sized design, making it convenient to carry in a backpack. DJI lists up to 36 minutes of flight time with the standard Intelligent Flight Battery and up to 52 minutes with the Intelligent Flight Battery Plus. The drone also supports O4+ video transmission, with up to 20 km transmission range under FCC conditions, while offering 10-bit video transmission for a smoother, more detailed live feed.
